UWCSEA Annual Fund 2026/2027

Together, let’s build the future

Give with impact

Every year, we come together through the UWCSEA Annual Fund to expand transformative

experiences for students. Donations from parents, alumni, staff and community partners fund

more exceptional programmes that empower students to build their skills as changemakers

and leaders.

Your gift will provide access to a life-changing UWC education that opens doors to a future

filled with opportunity and possibility.

Over the years, UWCSEA has educated 1,276 scholars from over 112 countries. This year,

110 scholars from high need communities will enrich our intellectual diversity and enhance learning

and understanding for all. While as a non-profit school, the Scholarship Programme is supported

in part through a percentage of school fees, your donation allows us to offer more scholarships to

remarkable students from countries such as Argentina, Cameroon, Indonesia, Georgia and Uzbekistan.

Emmanuel, a Grade 12 scholar from Burkina Faso, navigated

hardships because of family displacements due to conflict.

Last year, he overcame language and academic hurdles and

led the cross-country team to a SEASAC championship.

“Coming from a small village and now being able to build

friendships with students from around the world, compete

alongside talented teammates, and be recognised as an

athlete is something I once could have never imagined.

These achievements remind me that perseverance and

community can truly change a person’s life.”

SCHOLARSHIPS

Yi Ning, Grade 7 Dover Campus student, leads the Plastic

Fantastic service at Middle School, where students collect

plastic waste from campus and upcycle the plastic into

functional products.

“As I became more involved in Plastic Fantastic, I started

helping to create products, contribute ideas, and support

activities like the Community Fair. Being part of this

project taught me that ideas become better when you

test them and improve them with other people.”

INNOVATION

Your contribution fuels our innovation ecosystem, unlocking new and exciting opportunities

for students to explore, create, and invent.

Students will further pursue their interests in technology, entrepreneurship, music, and the arts,

preparing them to be the next generation problem solvers and innovators.

Videep, an East Campus Grade 12 student, led the High

School Environmental Initiatives Executive Team. He provided

oversight across student-led programmes and workshops.

“My interest in sustainability was not a single moment

of revelation but a gradual deepening from my early

years. In Grade 3, this idea of being a changemaker was

introduced to me. From Grade 5 onwards, UWCSEA’s

commitment to experiential learning made sustainability

not a distant global problem but as something we

students can actively have the responsibility to solve.”

SUSTAINABILITY

Your gift inspires students to channel their passion for the planet into real-world action

through sustainability-focused education in and out of the classroom.

Because of community-funded programmes that promote upcycling, reforestation, zero

waste, gardening, and composting, students gain more hands-on experiences in environmental

stewardship and develop systems thinking and leadership abilities.

“Our entire family—my wife, our three children, and I, have the

privilege of attending UWCSEA. We have benefitted deeply from

all the school offers, from its rigorous academics to its vibrant arts

and diverse sporting opportunities. Inspired by the spirit of ‘pay it

forward’, we hope our donation will help deserving young students

access and experience the same magic that is UWCSEA.”
