PE uniform
The UWCSEA PE uniform, consisting of the PE polo top and shorts, is expected to be worn for all PE activities, except
Aquatics.
All students should wear appropriate sports trainers (athletic shoes), which offer
adequate support and have non-marking soles.
Students can choose to wear their PE uniform to school on days that they have PE and
can remain in their PE uniform all day. However, we encourage students to bring a
change of uniform due to inclement weather and/or higher-intensity activities that may
cause perspiration.
Students should bring a water bottle to all PE lessons in order to maintain optimal
hydration. Outdoor lessons will require students to also bring a hat/cap and apply
sunscreen.
For all Aquatic activities students should wear appropriate swimwear, with a UV
rashguard for sun protection. In addition, goggles, swim cap and a towel are required.
If a student is unable to participate physically for any particular reason, we still encourage
them to wear their PE kit as they can participate in the lesson in an alternative role.
Backpack and laptop bag
Students may choose their own backpack/ school bag style, and are advised to have a
laptop bag with a shoulder strap to minimise the risk of damage when carrying the computer to and from lessons.
Sun protection
We recommend students wear a hat for any outside activities and/or apply sunscreen.
Sports uniform (representative sports, after-school activities and CAP)
Representative sports team uniforms for Middle and High School teams are purchased from the College Shop.
Representative Sports team uniforms in the Junior School are provided by the College (these must be returned). Where
uniforms are required for Paid Activities and Community Programme Activities (CAP) they are purchased online at the
point of registration and are collected from the Activities office prior to starting the Activity. Non-marking soled trainers
are required for indoor sports and specialised gear (shin pads, mouth guards) may be required for some sports. Students
must bring their normal school uniform to school to get changed into if they have sport training before or after school.
Students can shower after training, and will need to bring a towel on these days.
